Canvas Log On

Canvas Log On Instructions: 

1. Log on to:  https://mustangps.instructure.com/login/canvas 

2. You will click BELOW the sign-in box and choose LOGIN WITH GOOGLE

 

3. Your student will need to use their username@mustangps.org and pw from their schedule

(Tip:  PW will be 3 numbers, a CAPITOL letter, 2 LOWER case letters and a symbol, in that order.)

4.  Canvas will open up and show you what classes you are enrolled.

Creating A Parent Observer Account in Canvas

Creating a Parent/Observer account in Canvas is a simple process utilizing the steps below:

1. Access Mustang's Canvas portal at this web address
2. In the upper right-hand corner of the screen, you will see a link for parents to set up an account. Click on this link to create your account. You will need to enter your name, email address, and then create a password. 
3. Lastly, Canvas will ask you for a student pairing code. This pairing code will come from your student's account. Students can generate a pairing code to link an observer to their Canvas account. Please have your student log into their Canvas account and click Account on the Global Navigation bar on the left side of their Canvas homepage. Then click the Settings link. Lastly, click the Pair with Observer button. 
4. You will now copy the six-digit alphanumeric pairing code into your parent Canvas account. This pairing code will expire after seven days or its first use. Please note that pairing codes are case-sensitive. 
5. Once the pairing code is activated, you can begin observing your student in Canvas immediately.
